Daimlers - was - for sale

Daimler project - was - for sale

Currently removed from sale - post to remain as archive-

After a decade or two we have decided to divest ourselves of our daimler projects. So we have a Daimler 2.5 liter V8 for sale complete with spare body and spares parts as a job lot. There are enough parts to have two restored cars with some spares left over.
I can be contacted thru this blog or Facebook I will then send you my phone number.

“Mrs Brown” ($5200) - removed from sale

2014 12 07 09 10 14“mrs Brown” was aquired in the mid 80’s from “Mrs Brown” and rin for several years as a a fully registed car. She had some damage to the RHS rear quarter where the owners son had let it go down the drive and run into the carport. The door was also damaged in the incident. The car drove well and was used in this condition for several years till it was mothballed. (cortec products used).

Engine and Tranmission

2014 11 04 13 19 55
Transmission was rebuilt in our care. Engine ran well but was beguining to smoke on a trailing throttle. The engine was inhibited with A cortec inhibitor pack before shutting dow. It was last run last week. but has fuel pump issues. I would expect the brakes require some TLC as brake inhibitors were not used.

Blue Daimler ($2400)

This car was bought as spare and because it had a good grill.
We toyed ith the idea of doing a body swap with "Mrs Brown" but decided not too becaise of the integirity of “Mrs Brown”
This car is for sale by its-self or with the “clark” spares.

164 1972 manual $1500

A canberra car. Modified and lowered by Capital stearing and suspension in the late 70's. Large diameter exaust fitted. Has wider than standard wheels. The front end of the car is 73 indicating a rebuild at some time in the last 40 years. Brakes are not vented. Interior is in good condition. the seats leather is had but only the front seats need leather replaced. the car is clean and tidy but does need to be worked on before it can be driven. Brakes are grabby. The fluid has been replaced with new inhibited fluid. The front window needs replacing. The bonnet needs repainting as it has crizzelling. Clutch is hydralic. I'm still ambiverlent about selling this one so I will not sell it if I'm not convinced the new owner has the skills and resources so they are actually going to complete the project. Sorry...

We used to drive a 1970 manual 164. We loved it. We wanted an overdrive but... $$ so we got a local mechanic to "just slip in" a steel toyota box in place of the M400. This is a complete kit including he 1970 engine, adaplor plate, cluctch, flywheel, spedocable, crossmenber and tailshaft. It will just bolt in behind a 6 bolt engine. For a 8 bolt you will need to get a flywheel machined up appropriately. With this setup our car gor 28 mpg on fast country runs.
