Volvo 164 and chunks
164 1972 manual $1500
A canberra car. Modified and lowered by Capital stearing and suspension in the late 70's. Large diameter exaust fitted. Has wider than standard wheels. The front end of the car is 73 indicating a rebuild at some time in the last 40 years. Brakes are not vented. Interior is in good condition. the seats leather is had but only the front seats need leather replaced. the car is clean and tidy but does need to be worked on before it can be driven. Brakes are grabby. The fluid has been replaced with new inhibited fluid. The front window needs replacing. The bonnet needs repainting as it has crizzelling. Clutch is hydralic. I'm still ambiverlent about selling this one so I will not sell it if I'm not convinced the new owner has the skills and resources so they are actually going to complete the project. Sorry...
164 Manual Project
Before washing after retrieval from “storage"
Birds… and an early note that the car was lowered early on in its life.
Nice wider wheels and period modified exhaust.
Interior - small wheel is Ugh but will stay - an Rsport gauge will not be fitted - it will remain in shed for fitment to my 145s.
.
Engine bay is nice and clean except where the rats stored acorns...
Much cleaner after a wash.
Some nice bright anodising.

164 5 speed Celica steel converted $1500
We used to drive a 1970 manual 164. We loved it. We wanted an overdrive but... $$ so we got a local mechanic to "just slip in" a steel toyota box in place of the M400. This is a complete kit including he 1970 engine, adaplor plate, cluctch, flywheel, spedocable, crossmenber and tailshaft. It will just bolt in behind a 6 bolt engine. For a 8 bolt you will need to get a flywheel machined up appropriately. With this setup our car gor 28 mpg on fast country runs.

We have the crossmember too.. modded for the commodore bearing
